Virgin America flies to 'Philadelphia'

Virgin AmericaAfter formerly pairing track of HBO's "Entourage" to produce a brand new path to Vegas, Virgin America has reserved FX's "It's Sunny in Philadelphia" to advertise its new flight to Philadelphia. The Bay Area-based air travel began selling tickets to Philadelphia Intl Airport terminal Tuesday after presenting its next route on its Facebook page with the aid of "Sunny's" mysterious "Greenman," who made an appearance inside a video around the social networking. The air travel and Forex are offering an opportunity to win roundtrip plane tickets and what they are calling "the best 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' fan pack" composed from the first six seasons from the show on DVD, a Paddy's Pub T-shirt, the series' official game and helpful tips for the characters' favorite haunts. The promo should help hype "Sunny's" eighth season that begins this fall the way in which Virgin also marketed DreamWorks' "Real Steel" last fall, via a tie-in and marketing partnership with Disney, which distributed the film through its Touchstone banner. The company loves to tout its entertainment options, using its Red-colored in-flight entertainment system offering 35 films, live TV, videogames, musicvids, along with a 3,000 song library. Virgin Created also uses the air travel to advertise its slate of photos, including "Immortals."Virgin America will fly three daily non-stop plane tickets from La Intl Airport terminal to Philadelphia beginning April 4, and 2 from Bay Area Intl Airport terminal on April 10.The air travel, which lately began flying to Palm Springs, Chicago and Mexico's Cabo San Lucas and Cancun, is starting Philadelphia as 50% of vacationers flying from Philadelphia to L.A. use hooking up plane tickets (it's 45% to Bay Area).
