out for the count

Nearing the close of a $550 million credit line, New Regency founder Arnon Milchan wasn't too worried about his latest film, "What's Your Number?" "I can write a check if things go wrong!" Milchan joked outside the pic's Sept. 19 preem at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood. Later, at the Napa Valley Grille, actress-producer Anna Faris said a comedy about a woman who thinks she's slept around too much would have been a much harder sell a year ago, way before "Bridesmaids" proved that sloppy girls can give good box office. "For the last decade, it's been about a type-A, very ambitious type of woman. And this was not that," Faris said. "I want to see a person that's like myself and my friends who doesn't have all their shit figured out and probably drinks too much at a work function, like tonight!"
